About INSTITUTION

The home was started in the year 2013 with 35children, 20boys and 15girls.

Due to high demand of our services in the society we decided to register the children home as a non-profit organization in the year 2023 so as to expand our services to other needy people in the society like;

HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of deserted / widowed / divorce women, absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancy of Trafficking / Sexually exploited girl, and the elderly men and women.

We have been identifying orphan / semi orphan / street children through our volunteers, citizens, police, women & child welfare department.

We Pre-view of the incoming orphan / semi orphan /problems /difficulties.

We counsel and arrange for Emotional acceptance of the orphan /Semi orphan. We provide Lodging and boarding facilities for all inmates at a rented Building in naivasha sub -county, mirera location.

We arranged teaching facilities in nearby schools according to their age. We also provide home tuitions; recreation and health care.

We have been running the Orphanage with local donations and contributions only. We, mobilizing both cash and kind.




The official language of Vision of Hope Dorcas is English and Kiswahili.

Our Objectives

  • To help the most underprivileged, deprived and vulnerable members of the society especially orphaned children and providing education where possible.

  • To establish Orphanages and rescue Centre.
  • To implement Community Health Programs.
  • To carry out Community Health Education.
  • To promote the Christian faith through the activities listed above and by offering spiritual support. Through house to house evangelism, film ministry, open air crusades, prison ministry and seminars
  • To co-operate with other organizations with similar objectives to Vision of Hope Dorcas.
  • To conduct research that will further the above objectives.
  • To raise funds and other resources to fulfill the objectives.
  • To do all that is necessary to facilitate attainment of the objectives.
  • To carry out the work of Vision of Dorcas. With the love, commitment and compassion.
  • Our Vision

    Vision of Hope Dorcas aims to provide a home for orphans and other vulnerable children, provide care for the abandoned elderly in the society and offer rescue services.

    With God’s help Vision of Hope Dorcas will also educate and encourage members of the community to love and care for the less fortunate children and the elderly.

    Our Mission

    Vision of Hope Dorcas is committed to reducing the number of children living on the streets, to care for Orphan, Semi Orphan and Street Children in Kenya.

    Establish rescue Centre for HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of deserted / widowed / divorce women, absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancy of Trafficking / Sexually exploited girl, and the elderly men and women those who are left without care and support, by providing a nurturing place for homeless children to heal, grow, and learn and In addition to providing long-term care.

    Vision of Hope Dorcas aims to reunite children and adults with their relatives when possible and to equip their families with the tools they need to be self-sustainable. Vision of Hope Dorcas is dedicated to creating a path for each person that leads to a future filled with hope.

    Our current challeges

    • -Lack of enough funds and facilities. We have limited resources to take care of about 40 orphan / semi orphan. -No Enough worker workers since we are not able to employ all workers needed due to lack enough finances -the orphans lives in a rented facility thus we struggle to pay rent because we depend on well-wishers and local donors -
    • our request to who is willing to support us:

      • -Acquire a land, permanent home and facilities. Currently we have 40pupils.
      • Day by day number of children is increasing due to various reasons:

        We need additional support from the donors and philanthropists to meet the needs of increasing orphan / semi orphan / in our center.

        We seek support for about 3 years or more. Meanwhile, we will sustain to mobilize continuous local donations through exhibiting our good work and service.

        We are planning to build permanent home by acquiring land from the donors and philanthropists.

        This home will have a manager, one Care Taker who besides handling day-to-day administration and will look after the hostel as warden.

        One Teacher, One vocational instructor, one cook, one attendant, one social worker, One Watchman will be provided for the home.

        A doctor will be appointed as Center Medical Attendant on honorarium and all the inmates will be provided with health check-up, medicines, food, cosmetics, one set of books and two sets of uniform every year. .

        Every child will be provided with nutritional diet, indoor and out-door recreation and play facilities and training in crafts and hobbies.
